Cirque du Soleil is the legendary performance circus, and has a fittingly legendary website. I haven’t come across a menu that has grabbed me as much as this one. I suppose its loosely based on the menu that Apple uses for their iTunes album selection on the iPhone (well that is the 1st place that I remember seeing something like this) but this is a very well revamped version of it. The menu loads for the casting area of the site, where people who are interested in joining the show can find their niche. It breaks down the acts to 8 categories, and as you move your mouse over them, the others zoom/blur out of the foreground and the selected one will ‘evolve’ into the show time version of that niche.

The rest of the site is well designed and functions well, but this is the feature that caught my eye. Its a easy and visual way to navigate as a visitor who is interested in joining, and can give them a taste of what they can look like should they get in.
